06 Choir singing I Dream A Highway (ft. G&D on guitars for a bit)

Gillian Welch and David Rawlings have been thrilling audiences since the mid 90s when they sang 'Long Black Veil' together in a little house in Nashville, and magic was in the air.

Their music combines elements of bluegrass, country and Americana, described by The New Yorker as ''at once innovative and obliquely reminiscent of past rural forms''. Last year they played 5 sold out shows at Hamer Hall and voila, just like that they're back in town!

They joined Jacinta and Brian to talk about their experiences with The Grateful Dead, road tripping in Australia, and the unifying power and humanity of music.

After their second song, Jacinta and Brian led them to another studio where a choir was singing 'I Dream A Highway'.

Tears flowed.
